Chaos

Eyes dart to the right to the left

Shifty eyes in the depth of chaos reining

Which way to run – my memory feigning

I squirm and shift and fight

This place of freedom - nowhere in sight

Looking for a station that is redeeming

Screaming into the night - what is the meaning?

I stop short to close my eyes

Echoing chaos slowly dies

Open my heart to the love within

Place of freedom in sight again

The house of poison

In the house of poison

We live like the dead

We pull out guns of words and put them to our heads

Our dread becomes our treason

We’ve taken no relief

There is no rhyme or reason - no book of belief

Eyes closed before the dawn

The days unwind the clock

As we lay heads down upon a scornful chopping block

Dreams changed to desire and take us to the brink

While deeper - deeper into the mire our soul-meaning sinks

In the house of poison

When will we wake from sleep

When will we hush the acid voice

that burns the wound so deep.

Dream Vs. Reality

What are these moments when reality and dream collide?

When a crossroad is met and the path you take, or do not take, creates a destiny.

There is a strange obscurity when evening turns to night, at the very moment before the light fades from the portion of the earth you are sitting on, which conjures the feelings of change - of letting go of a day.

A day is done and what that day has been blends into the darkness of the night.

Disengage

I try to disengage from your troubling bubbling rage
It is your own perspective

The evil that’s been detected

Cock your head to the left – to the right

Slowly begin to see the light

Evil is our deception

Love our only protection

There are no wars – no weapons

Only misconception
