Searches outside the US (World)
Alternative Meetings (chat, phone, internet)
There are two parts to searches within the US. US search and Zip Code Search
US Search
You must enter certain minimum information. This is usually indicated by an "*". For US searches, this is the State. But you may also enter other data to narrow your searches down. Don't enter more information than you need in order to narrow down a search. If you enter too much the search engine may not find any meetings. For example, if you enter your full zip code and there are no meetings in your zip code, you will not see other meetings near you. Try the city first, the first 3 digits of your zip code, or the whole state. If you are near a State border, check that State also.
Zip Code Search
You must enter certain minimum information. This is usually indicated by an "*". For Zip Code searches, this is your Zip Code and a distance. You may want to start with a relative high number like 100 miles. When you get your results, they will be sorted from shortest to longest distance. The distance is actually the distance from Post Office to Post Office. So your travel distance may be a little more or a little less.
Searches Outside the US (World)
There are two parts to searches outside the US. World search and Country Links
World Search
You must enter certain minimum information. This is usually indicated by an "*". For World searches, this is the Country. But you may also enter other data to narrow your searches down. Don't enter more information than you need in order to narrow down a search. If you enter too much the search engine may not find any meetings. Also, there is currently a problem with the Language selection. Leave it as is. In the future you will be able to use this to filter for the language you select. The results will show all languages at this time.
Country Links
While it is the intent and direction of the Board of Trustees that all CoDA meetings be put into our database, some Countries are maintaining their own meetings lists. If you are interested in a Country just click on the link and you will be carried to that Country's website so that you can look up meetings. Sometimes, the World database may have English meetings in the database and meeting in the language of the Country in the links.
When you click on the Alternative Meetings tab, you will immediately see a list of meetings. Choose between the type you desire and use the information provided to log into the meeting. These meetings, due to their nature, have no physical boundaries. You can be anywhere (almost) and be a part of these meetings.
Other resources to assist you in locating a CoDA meeting are located in the contacts area.
