Co-NNections Recovery Stories

CoDA Reflections – April 21, 2020

A dense fog covers the emerging daylight. No work, no church today. Life is happening at home.  No travel. Feel uneasy going to the grocery store.

Love the gas price, but no need for gas. Had a CoDA online meeting yesterday, instead of a planned CoDA Intergroup workshop.  Principles are good,

but people are upset, angry and irritated, even me. Humor helps, but tension is high. Business may close. Relatives in New York City are sick. I feel sick.

I am hopeful for my recovery. The enemy of recovery is in the air. I whisper a quiet prayer in solitude. I usually zoom in my car to a meeting.

Now I zoom online from home. I reach out to comrades for support and reach in for quiet moments of reflection.

My way of life is being challenged.

By setting healthy boundaries I stray from negative thinking and learn to love.

I whisper a quiet prayer in solitude.

Let me live in peace and serenity.

Let my defects be removed.

Let me love and enjoy my life.
