This Meeting Search Help Guide provides detail on how to use the Meeting Search features on the Meeting Locator page of the website https://coda.org/find-a-meeting/ including – How to find Passwords for Online Meetings, how to participate in Phone Meetings, how to use the Meeting Search filters, and many other helpful features.  Simply “Click” the “+” signs next to the topics listed to reveal more detail.  You can also print a complete PDF version of this Meeting Search Help Guide by clicking the button at the bottom of this page.

FINDING VIRTUAL MEETINGS THAT MAY BE IN YOUR AREA

These are face-to-face meetings but may be using online platforms at this time

Choose the “Meetings” button from the bar of choices near the top of each page of www.coda.org

Click the blue “UNITED STATES” Face to Face Meetings” square then choose a state from the map and then a city

Click on the meeting name for the full record and scroll down to see the SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS field—many meetings are asking folks to email or text for the password

Any face-2-face meeting which is currently virtual will be noted as such (if the group has let world service know)—but you have to click on the meeting name to see the full record.

FINDING INTERNATIONAL MEETINGS {OUTSIDE OF THE US} WHICH MAY BE MEETING VIRTUALLY

These are face-to-face meetings but may be using online platforms at this time

Choose the “Meetings” button from the bar of choices near the top of each page of  www.coda.org

Click the purple “INTERNATIONAL Face to Face Meetings” square then choose a country from the list (scroll down more than half way please to see the countries listed.)

Please look at the full record of any listing by clicking on the blue Meeting Name

Any face-2-face meeting which is currently meeting virtually will be noted as such (if the group has let world service know)—but you have to click on the meeting name in blue to see the full record and please be sure to scroll down to see the important “SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS” field. Meetings may be asking folks to email or text for the password.

WHEN USING THE LOCATION (PROXIMITY) SEARCH (by zip, city, country)

You can type in any distance you choose (may be measured only in miles).

Please look at the full record of any listing by clicking on the blue Meeting Name.

A RANDOM SEARCH FOR ZOOM MEETINGS

Use the general search field that is to the left of the “Donate” button on any page and enter “ZOOM”  then click on any of the group names for the full record and scroll down for any special instructions.

Note the “LOAD MORE” button at the bottom of the listings—it will allow you to see page after page of meetings.

Please look at the full record of any listing by clicking on the blue (sometimes green) Meeting Name.

SEARCHING ONLINE MEETINGS

Choose the “Meetings” button from the bar of choices near the top of each page of www.coda.org.

Click the green “ONLINE Meetings” square.

Choose days/time/zones, etc.  Once you pick any choice, the other menus will only show what is available given the first choice.  In other words, if you pick a day on which there is no “LGBTQQIAA+” focus meeting, that choice will not appear. At this time most of the listings are not yet showing the city and/or country information though that information is being solicited.

Please look at the full record of any listing by clicking on the Meeting Name in blue, or by clicking on “Click Here for More Info”. Many of the meetings are requiring folks to email listed contacts to receive the password or some other vital information about the meeting. Always look at the “Special Instructions”.

To perform an additional search in the same category of online meetings, you can choose a different day, time, etc. Choose the new items one at a time and wait for the “gray” cast of the screen to disappear after each choice is made. Please wait a few seconds for the new search results to appear.

If you want to change to search for a different category of meeting, hit the “+ NEW SEARCH” button, and you will be back at the page with the four varieties of meetings: US   INTERNATIONAL   PHONE   ONLINE.

SEARCHING PHONE MEETINGS

On the “homepage” scroll almost half way down and click on the orange “Find a Meeting” rectangle.

Click the orange “PHONE Meetings” square.

Choose days/time/zones, etc.Once you pick any choice the other menus will only show what is available given the first choice. In other words, if you pick a day on which there is no “men only meeting” or “women only meeting” that choice will not appear. At this time most of the online listings are not yet showing the location information. You can only make one pick at a time (there is a slight delay between choosing the various items. The screen will have a gray cast during the transition.

Hint: if the day is the most important factor in searching at any given time, pick that first, and so on…

Please look at the full record of any listing by clicking on the Meeting Name in blue. Always look at the “Special Instructions” as there may be helpful information there.

If you want to change to search for a different category of meeting, hit the “+ NEW SEARCH” button, and you will be back at the page with the four varieties of meetings: US/INTERNATIONAL/PHONE/ONLINE.

PHONE AND ONLINE LISTINGS PAGE AFTER PAGE

If you just want to look through all the virtual listings just keep scrolling to the bottom of each page and then hit button for the next page.

Please look at the full record of any listing you are interested in by clicking on the Meeting Name in blue, or among the online listings by hitting the “Click Here for More Info”. Many of the online meetings are requiring folks to email listed contacts to receive the password or some other vital information about the meeting.Always look at the “SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS” field.

If by chance you’d like to look at the phone or online listings in the numerical order of the CoDA Meeting ID#s, just hit the karat to the right of the column heading labeled “ID”.
