The darkness takes him over
And I feel his pain
I sense it like it’s my own
Only it’s not
But it still feels the same
I pray that he gets the help he needs
Because I’m aware his healing isn’t me
It’s our higher power that will heal in time
If he seeks His wisdom and allows it inside
Otherwise, I can love and let go
This doesn’t mean it’s the end of the relationship
Just a saner version of life, for myself
And ultimately, for us too
