This is a poem I wrote a short while ago about my previous relationship. Writing poetry has been always been a useful way for me to make sense of my life. I
didn’t realize it when I wrote it but it shows the co-dependant nature of the relationship.

You spun me round and round
You twisted me inside
And when I’d bend no more
You just tossed me aside

I felt so lost back then
I felt so out at sea
But I just didn’t realize
That you’d just set me free
